The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued Rivers State Governor-elect, Nyesom Wike, and the Deputy Governor-elect, Dr. Ipalibo Banigo, Certificates of Return by in Port Harcourt. Wike and Banigo received the certificates yesterday from INEC National Commissioner in charge of Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Rivers states, Mrs Thelma Iremiren. Newly elected members of the National Assembly and the state House of Assembly also received their certificates. Mrs Iremiren congratulated the winners and appealed to them to put the people first in all their actions. In his remarks, the governor-elect assured Rivers people that he would embark on aggressive development of the state.
