The Yankees will turn back the clock 20 years in August to commemorate their 1996 World Series championship.

The Yankees will hold various activities during the month of August to honor the beginning of their late 1990s dynasty, including an on-field reunion, promotional giveaways and Mariano Rivera’s Monument Park plaque dedication.

The festivities begin Friday Aug. 12, the opener of a three-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays. The first 15,000 fans in attendance will receive a 1996 World Series replica trophy.

The next day, members of the 1996 World Series championship team will reunite in a pre-game ceremony beginning at noon. Rivera, Derek Jeter, Andy Pettitte, Jorge Posada, Bernie Williams, Tino Martinez, Paul O’Neill, David Cone, Wade Boggs, Doc Gooden, Darryl Strawberry and Joe Torre are among those expected to be in attendance.

The weekend wraps up on Sunday, Aug. 14, with Rivera’s Monument Park plaque dedication ceremony at noon.

The celebration finishes on Aug. 28 when the first 18,000 fans 14 and younger will receive a 1996 World Series replica ring.
