The 26-year-old has been out of action for two months since injuring hip ligaments and took the opportunity to mark his winning return with a celebratory fan-selfie.
Yannick Bolasie joins a long line of social media savvy footballers who have chosen to mark a win with a selfie.
The winger's return to the starting line-up came as welcome boost to Crystal Palace who are on a run of nine league games without a win since December 2015.
Crystal Palace now face an away tie with Championship side Reading in the FA Cup quarter-finals and manager Alan Pardew hopes a strong cup run will encourage more young fans to support the club.
“We’re trying to build a club and a great Cup run to the semi-final, to the final, can gain you support," said Pardew.
“The Cup gained us more fans in that 1990 run than at any other time. And they have stayed with us.
“I said to the players afterwards that you won’t know the impact the FA Cup has until you reach the quarter-finals, the semi-final and the final.
“Then you understand this competition and the romance of it.”
The former Reading manager took his side on warm-weather training trip to Spain prior to their tie with Tottenham, taking inspiration from Steve Coppell whose side made it to the FA Cup final in 1990.
“It was something we did in 1990 and I thought it might be nice to do it again.”
Alan Pardew admitted Palace were in desperate need of a win having fallen to 14th in the Premier League table.
“The timing was good because after our poor league form, we had to sit ourselves down and say ‘The season ain’t been that bad’. We were resilient and defended well.”
