The trial of former Zamfara State governor, Alhaji Ahmed Sani Yerima over an alleged N1.6 billion corruption, is billed to commence at the High Court in Gusau today.
Prosecution lawyer, Barrister Adesina Raheem, confirmed the development to The Guardian, expressing optimism that the trial will commence as scheduled.
As stated by Raheem, “The trial could not commence at the last adjourned date in March because the judge was unwell. We are hoping that this time the trial will commence,” he stated.
