Governor Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe State has backed the nomination of Mai Buni as the party’s flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the governorship election.
This followed Buni’s nomination by the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress.
Gaidam took the step on Friday following a meeting of the APC leadership at the state, local government and ward levels.
In addition, the governor endorsed the Senate Majority Leader Ahmed Lawan, for a Senatorial ticket and his spokesman Abdullahi Bego, for Jakusko/Bade Federal Constituency.

Buni is the National Secretary of the ruling APC.
