Gov. Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe state
Yobe State Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam, at the weekend stated the state has partnered with Nigeria-Turkish International Colleges (NTIC) and Nigeria-Turkish Nile University (NTNU) to improve education in the state and the country.
Gaidam made this known in a statement by the Director of Press Affairs to the Governor, Abdullahi Bego, made available to newsmen in Damaturu.
He stated the agreement was reached on Thursday when a delegation from First Surat Group, which manages the two educational institutions and Nigeria-Turkish Nizamiye Hospital, visited the governor in Abuja.
The statement reads in part: “The governor noted with satisfaction the performance of students from Yobe at West African School Certificate (WASC) and Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) examinations at the NTIC Mamudo-Yobe and other NTIC schools across the country, as well as at the Nigeria-Turkish Nile University.”
