12 Die In Inter-State Bus Accident (Photos)

11 bus passengers and a driver have died in a ghastly accident. They were travelling from Lagos to the eastern part of the country. [caption id="attachment_45061" align="alignnone" /> Items belonging to the victims of the accident.[/caption] The vehicle which belonged to The Young Shall Grow transportation was headed to the east when it got involved in the fatal accident around 1 p.m on Thursday, September 3, PM News reports. The vehicle which was a 16 sweater bus crashed into a truck parked by the side of the road when the driver swerved to avoid colliding into an oncoming SUV. The driver and 11 other passengers reportedly died on the spot while four others were critically wounded. The mangled bodies of the deceased were taken to the mortuary. The survivors were said to have been rushed to a hospital for emergency treatment. Some eyewitnesses blamed the incident on overspeeding. Photo Credit: PM News
