The Yobe State Police Command has arrested three suspects for selling fake police recruitment forms. As stated by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), they were arrested in connection with criminal conspiracy and forgery contrary to sections 97 and 364 of the Penal Code law of Nigeria. The three suspects are Muhammed Kabiru Yakubu, a 37-year-old of staff of Quarters Government Science and Technical College, Potiskum; Yakubu Muhammed Eskida, a 20-year-old operator of Dage Cyber cafe in Potiskum; and Shuaibu Ahmed Jaji. They were found with ten copies of forged Police recruitment forms in their possession. The Police Public Relations department of Yobe State Command had earlier issued several press release warning members of the public about the activities of unscrupulous elements who had embarked on rumour peddling and illegal production and sales of fake police recruitment forms. The press release stated categorically that the impending recruitment exercise shall be announced as soon as the modalities were being put in place. Suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed.
