With the new Focus RS, Ford has attempted to not only shake up the hot hatch industry however, also create a car fitting of the fabled RS badge.
First featured on the 1970 Ford Escort RS1600, the Rally Sport badge has since been applied to the marque's plethora of rally cars as well as three generations of the Ford Focus hatchback.
In a tribute to its forebears, Ford has released a new promo clip for the 2016 model starring Ken Block and some iconic rally cars. The video shows rally highlights and includes none other than the late Colin McRae working his magic.
Thanks to its all-wheel drive system, the new RS is arguably the best road-going tribute to its rally predecessors and, understandably, has Block's stamp of approval.
