It is true that, right after Geneva is not the best of times for such an event. On the other hand, it does take place in the US of A and certain brands have some interesting debuts for the city that never sleeps.

Mazda has already announced a world premiere that may, or may not, be the new MX-5 Roadster Coupe, and Subaru will unveil the all-new Impreza sedan and hatch.

With sporty SUVs being all the rage, Mercedes-Benz has picked NYC to blow the covers off the GLC Coupe and the nip-and-tuck’ed CLA. Hyundai, on the other hand, seems ready to enter uncharted waters with its Genesis 3-Series rival, even in concept form, while Kia is on track to reveal the 2017 Cadenza.

This is US soil, though, so it’s only fitting that the 640hp Camaro ZL1 and the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will flying the Star-Spangled Banner. It doesn’t get much more “American Iron” than that, does it?
