The toll of victims involved in the the bomb blast that occurred yesterday during Jumuat Service at a mosque in Jambutu area of Jimeta, Adamawa State had risen to 30.
This was confirmed by the coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency in the state, Saad Bello.
At least 27 people have earlier been reportedly dead and 96 injured as at Friday evening.
Jimeta is a suburb of Yola, the Adamawa State Capital.
NEMA also disclosed that its workers have so far evacuated victims to Specialist Hospital in Jimeta and Federal Medical Centre in Yola.
Based on what was gathered, the mosque was newly repainted and the explosion occurred at the perimeter of the crowded mosque.
The corpses of the dead victims were being deposited in the mortuary while the injured victims are being treated in the hospitals.
This incident occurred barely twenty-four hours after which a suicide bomber detonated a bomb during the early Morning Subhi Prayer at a mosque behind Magistrate Court Polo Area in Maiduguri killing not less than 6 persons with over 17 injured.
