Governor Udom Emmanuel with Senator Godswill Akpabio
Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has said his predecessor Godswill Akpabio won’t stop him from winning a second term in office.
Udom said this on Friday after declaring his intention to go for a second term in office in 2019.
He vowed that Akpabio’s All Progressives Congress (APC) would not win the State in 2019.
“No man is God. Senator Akpabio’s migration to the ruling APC, at the center, would not stop my re-election. I would work with the people to continue with our superior performance,” he stressed.
He added that his work thus far is enough to give him a second term in office.
Akpabio recently joined the APC from the Peoples Democratic Party.
