New Orleans Pelicans star forward Anthony Davis left his team’s 112-111 loss to the Houston Rockets on Monday after being hit in the left side of his face while pursuing a rebound. He did not return to the game.
New Orleans coach Alvin Gentry said Davis is being treated for a potential head injury.
“Concussion-like symptoms, so I’m sure he’ll just go through the protocol, and we’ll find out later exactly what the situation is,” Gentry said after the loss.
