Claudio Ranieri has admitted to monitoring Celtic players ahead of Leicester City's clash against the Bhoys at the International Champions Cup in Glasgow.
The Foxes boss had been asked about the contract situation within the club, with several of his charges still to commit their future to the Premier League champions.
Responding jovially at first, the Italian gave the press a taste of their own medicine before turning to more serious matters.
“I'm watching some Celtic players but I won't tell you who!” he began. “Speculation is good – not for us, but for you. It's important that you write something, it's important for sales.”
“The big focus is our training, we're focused on improving fitness. I think once the keeper [Kasper Schmeichel] signs the others will too.
“I'm happy with my squad. There's no problem with my contract or anyone else."
