The Foxes' former head of technical scouting confirmed that he's taking up a role at the Emirates Stadium, but Gary Lineker believes the Gunners have missed a trick
Gary Lineker has told Arsenal that they have βnicked the wrong scoutβ from Leicester City.
Earlier this week, Ben Wrigglesworth, who was Leicesterβs head of technical scouting, confirmed that he will be Arsenalβs new video scout for the first team.
But Lineker, who began his career at Leicester City, believes the clubβs assistant coach Steve Walsh is the man who Arsene Wenger should have been targeting for a behind-the-scenes role.
βI love how Arsenal nicked the wrong scout. NβGolo Kante, for sure, Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy. Four at least,β said the former England striker.
βSteve Walsh is the guy who found these players and bought them in.

βI know when he found Riyad Mahrez he was sent to watch someone else and came back with Mahrez.
βHeβs done a brilliant job and thatβs been the large key to Leicesterβs success. As in all clubs, itβs about the people you bring in and theyβve done it on a relatively small budget compared with the giants.β
