The 34-year-old's contract expires this summer and the Gunners have been told by Rio Ferdinand that signing the Swede would boost their title hopes next season
Arsenal have been urged to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic in order to give the club a title-winning mentality.
The 34-year-old scored the winner in Paris Saint-Germainβs 2-1 victory over Chelsea on Wednesday to fire the French champions to the Champions League quarter-finals.
Ibrahimovicβs contract expires at the end of the season and Arsenal have been told that the striker, who has won league titles in Italy, Spain, France and Netherlands, would be the transfer that could end their Premier League title drought.
βI think because heβs 34, heβs playing a little bit easier. He plays it a little bit earlier, he doesnβt take as many touches, heβs in a team at the moment who are creating for him,β Glenn Hoddle told BT Sport.
βIf he was on a free transfer, Iβd love to see him play in the Premier League. Itβd be marvellous for the Premier League.
βI think heβd suit Arsenal. I think heβd suit Chelsea. If you want to press, with Man City if Pepβs coming in, probably no, but heβs a wonderful footballer.β
Former Manchester United centre-back Rio Ferdinand added: βIf youβre saying Arsenal, what heβd bring to them is a mentality that theyβre lacking.
βA mentality to get over the line and win titles. Heβs done that more than anyone.β
