The governor of Kwara state Abdulfatah Ahmed has mourned the death of Brigadier General Femi David Lasisi Bamigboye, describing it as a huge loss to the state.
Famzn News had reported earlier that Bamigboye, who was the first Military Governor of Kwara state, died on Friday at the age of 78 in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city after a brief illness.
Reacting to his death, Governor Ahmed said the deceased made significant contributions to the development of Kwara state and lived a good life.
“I am deeply saddened by the death of the first military governor of Kwara State, Rtd. Brig-Gen. David Bamigboye. His death is a huge loss to Kwara State.
“We are consoled only by the fact that he made significant contributions to development of our state and lived a good life”, Governor Ahmed wrote on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.
