It seemed like a normal day for this BMW 1-Series driver who was getting ready to take the kids to school in the small town of Aldeamayor de San Martin, province of Valladolid.
However, things quickly took a turn for the worse when the car reached a patch of road that was under construction and the driver saw fit to attempt to run over fresh cement. If you look closely, there is a small warning sign on the ground (triangle) at the end of the street, which generally should be enough to force a small detour.
The cement quickly became a tomb for the small German hatch, which is what tends to happen when you ignore construction road signs and plow ahead like it's nobody's business.
Fortunately, there was a happy ending to this story as nearby workers quickly came to the rescue and managed to pull the car out before the concrete had dried all around it - try explaining that to your insurance company. We do however hope that the owner of the car found the nearest carwash and cleaned the wheels and the underside thoroughly - in order to avoid further damage.
And if we were to be less hard on the driver, we might start off by saying that perhaps one warning signed positioned by the side of the road (not in the middle of it) might not be enough to sway commuters from driving where they shouldn't.
