President Muhammadu Buhari this afternoon, ordered that all permanent secretaries at the Federal ministries be retirement.
A top Presidency source said that at least 17 permanent secretaries were affected.
As stated by the source, a statement on the development will soon be officially released.
Buhari had earlier this morning met behind closed-doors with the permanent secretaries.
The mode of their mass retirement is very much similar to that of the outgone EFCC boss, Ibrahim Lamorde who was sacked yesterday.
Lamorde had also met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the villa earlier on Monday after which the news of his sack followed almost immediately.
