Petr Cech is in his 12th season of Premier League football since making the move to Chelsea from Rennes in 2004 – but is enduring his worst ever run of games without managing a clean sheet.
The Czech Republic international has long been considered one of the best performers in the world in his position, but while Arsenal are challenging for the Premier League title the 34-year-old has now gone eight consecutive matches without keeping a single clean sheet.

Leroy Sane – the subject of so much criticism of late – was the player to deny him a shut out on Sunday, as the former Schalke player struck for Manchester City to level Theo Walcott’s early opening goal. To make matters worse, Raheem Sterling then added a second, beating Cech at his near post.
Cech has not kept a clean sheet since a scoreless draw with Middlesbrough on October 22, but his record has not been too bad – Arsenal have conceded more than a single goal in an individual match only four times in the Premier League all season, with the veteran an ever present in Arsene Wenger’s starting XI.
