Jack Aitchison has broken a 108-year-old record by becoming Celtic’s youngest ever goalscorer.
At 16 years and 71 days old, Aitchison became Celtic’s youngest ever debutant after coming on as a second-half substitute in Sunday’s 7-0 victory over Motherwell.
And with his first touch of the game, Aitchison found the net to make history.
Aitchison had already overtaken Mark Fotheringham to become Celtic’s youngest ever player, but the forward has also surpassed David McLean, who has been the club’s youngest ever goalscorer since 1907 when he found the net against Rangers at the age of 16 years and 317 days.
Celtic won the Scottish Premiership for the fifth consecutive year, finishing 15 points clear of Aberdeen....
