SAN FRANCISCO — Derrick Rose will not play on Thursday night against the Golden State Warriors because of lower back stiffness.
Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek made the announcement at the team’s morning shootaround.
Rose said he is hopeful of returning when the Knicks end their western swing on Saturday in Denver. He missed two games last week and reinjured the back when he was fouled and fell on it on Tuesday in Phoenix.
Brandon Jennings will start at point guard against the Warriors, who are 22-4 and 9-2 at home.
