DALLAS — Henrik Lundqvist will make his return to the ice tonight for the Rangers.
Lundqvist, who sat the last four games in favor of Antti Raanta, participated in the Rangers’ extra skate at American Airlines Arena in Dallas onThursday and was the only goalie on the ice for a time before being joined by Raanta. The Rangers’ Twitter account confirmed Lundqvist would get the start.
The Rangers are 3-1-0 in the last four games with Raanta in net, but Lundqvist has more or less owned the Stars in his starts here: He’s 4-1-0 with a .940 save percentage.
Lundqvist is 3-4-1 in his last eight starts. The Rangers have said that despite Raanta’s success, Lundqvist is still their presumptive starter.
Rick Nash (groin) also will return Thursday night.
