The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has urged political leaders to sustain and improve on the legacies of the founding fathers of Nigeria.
Speaking on Friday at the public presentation of a book titled: βManaging Ethno-political relations in Nigeria: The Ilorin example, 1823-2003β, which was written by Dr. Abdulwahab Olumo, Sulu-Gambari noted that good governance will transform Nigeria and sustain its democracy, he urged politicians to avoid using youths for political violence and other unsavoury acts.
He likened doing so to riding on the back of the proverbial tiger and urged Nigerians to continue to live in harmony with their neighbours.
Sulu-Gambari, was represented by his spokesperson, Alhaji Mohammed Woru.
