The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has urged the Lagos State Government to supply land for National Housing Programme within the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria reported that Fashola made the decision on the 2018 Ramadan Lecture of the Lagos department of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria.
The minister stated the President Muhammadu Buhari led-administration was working in direction of making life extra significant for Nigerians via fastidiously designed programmes and tasks.
As said by him, the National Housing Programme is without doubt one of the Federal Government’s efforts to deal with the nation’s housing deficit.
He stated, “Over 30 states have provided land for the housing programme and work has started in the states. We are appealing to the Lagos State Government to do same in Lagos.”
Fashola additionally stated Buhari had authorized the development and reconstruction of roads, together with the Lagos-Abeokuta street, Lagos-Ibadan street, in addition to the Ikorodu -Shagamu street.
