Owoseni Ajayi
The fast previous Ekiti state Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General, Owoseni Ajayi, has introduced his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), ending his 20-year relationship with Governor Ayodele Fayose.
Ajayi, who addressed newsmen on Monday, stated he had formally give up the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to affix forces with the candidate of the APC within the July 14th election, Dr Kayode Fayemi, to win the election.
Ajayi stated: “I have decided from today 11th June 2018 to withdraw my membership of PDP and join APC forthwith to be able to actualise my political dream.”
He stated he had weighed all the opposite aspirants and determined to pitch his tent with Fayemi to win the election, saying “APC will win the coming election.”
Ajayi stated he’s not becoming a member of the APC to beg for any political workplace, having been two-time Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice and a former chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Ado Ekiti.
As acknowledged by him, he had been working with and for Fayose for 20 years and that he had endured sufficient humiliation in his fingers, saying “there’s a limit to my tolerance. I’ve exhibited extreme tolerance.”
On the instances he had filed towards Fayemi and the APC as PDP chief and Attorney General, he stated he had not accomplished something unlawful as a authorities functionary, saying all of the actions he took had been authorized and correct.
