President of Ghana a Akufo-Addo has threatened to tax churches that focus on prosperity preaching, thereby amassing wealth from the members.

The President made this threat while speaking at a synod of the Global Evangelical Church at the University of Ghana.

He said some of these churches are not what any church should be and only focus on making money without upholding the true religious messages in the bible.

He called some of these modern-day churches “a pale shadow of what it used to be generations ago.”
