Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has sworn-in 15 new commissioners and eight special advisers with a call to be diligent in their duties.
The inauguration took place on Friday at the Glass Hall of the Government House in Lokoja, the state capital in Nigeria’s north central region.
Governor Bello told the new appointees that they were coming on board at a critical time when the state was facing security, economic, and political challenges.
He urged them to stand firm and be ready to clean up all the rot in their various ministries.
The Governor also appealed to them to dedicate their time to serve the people, asking them to make their doors open for complains and advise.
In her speech, the Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Mrs Ayo Arike, stated their appointment was as a result of their track record of experience.
Both the commissioner-nominees and the special advisers took the oath of office and allegiance.
