Gov Seriake Dickson
A Niger Delta group under the aegis of the Niger Delta Youth Forum, (NYDF), has slammed the founder of the Niger Delta ex-agitators, Israel Akpodoro, who accused the Bayelsa State Governor, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson, of convening a meeting of ex-militants in 2014 with the agenda to make Nigeria ungovernable if Goodluck Jonathan losses the 2015 election.
Akpodoro, in a statement, stated himself and other ex-militant leaders were present at the government house in 2104, where it was agreed they would make the country ungovernable for President Muhammadu Buhari.
But in a strongly worded statement by the NDYF signed by Comr. Ogidi Ben Bara, its national coordinator, he stated Akpodoro’s claims were not only preposterous and divisive, but a clear indication that he was out to dent the image of Niger Delta leaders to gain favour from the powers that be.
The statement stated it was ridiculous for the former militant to accuse a Governor that has from the very beginning lambasted the actions of the Niger Delta Avengers.
The statement reads, “Akpodoro should desist from acts and accusations that would land him in the law court. By accusing Former President Goodluck Jonathan of being behind resurgence in the Niger Delta is an act of malignity and slander.
