The Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists has conferred honour on some eminent Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in their areas of service to the society.
Among those honoured during its 2015 Integrity Award were seasoned journalists, business administrators and also outstanding politicians who have continued to display a high sense of integrity in the course of duty.
Among the recipients of this year’s award is the Editor of Saturday PUNCH, Mrs. Olabisi Deji-Folutile, who was celebrated for her tireless and commendable contributions to the growth of journalism profession in the country. A dedicated Christian and committed professional, Mrs. Deji-Folutile was acknowledged for her excellence on the job.
Others equally celebrated at the well attended event in Lagos, were Mr. Omotayo Oduntan – a deputy chief whip in the Lagos State House of Assembly; Dr. Toe Ekechi – a marketing and media expert and an Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Tunde Ogunsakin. They were all conferred with the integrity award for their selfless service to the nation in their various areas of operation.
A keynote address tagged “Integrity, Essential Ingredient for building a Viral Nation” was delivered by the Chairman and Chief Executive of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, Dr. Sam Amadi.
The Secretary-General of the NACJ, Pastor Charles Okhai, while thanking all those who made the event a success, stated integrity was very important in moving any society forward and that as a group they would continue to celebrate same wherever they identify it.
