Argentine mid-fielder, Javier Mascherano, says that despite the profile and success that his Barcelona and Argentina team-mate Lionel Messi enjoys, he would hate to be Messi, given the criticism he has to suffer. In an interview with TyCSports, Mascherano explained that he is just worried as regards their national team’s failure to win major trophies. Although Messi has won several trophies with the Catalan Club giants, Barcelona, he his yet to replicate the form at the national team. Mascherano said: “Messi does not hide and never shies away from criticism. I would hate to be Messi. He is something very special. He keeps coming (to the national team) even when he is about to be a father. We are football players who want to offer the most we can. We are honest and try to do it the best way.”
