President Muhammadu Buhari has come to say that it is tragic and sad that bandits are still active in Nigeria amid the pandemic.
He revealed this as he condoled with families who lost loved ones in an attack by bandits in Sabon Birni Local Government, Sokoto State.
According to him, he is currently praying for the quick recovery of those that sustained injuries after the shameless attack.
He added that he doesn't plan to abandon Nigeria during these trying times and he would do everything possible to bring these mass murderers to their knees before crushing them totally
His words, “As the world and Nigeria battle Coronavirus pandemic, it is tragic and unfortunate that bandits have remained active in parts of the country, killing innocent people and throwing families into despair.
“We will not abandon you to your fate because we're determined to bring these mass murderers to their knees and crush them totally.”
“This operation will be full time and sustained military offensive that is intended to deny the bandits any breathing space to reorganize and regroup.”
“My government will keep protecting Nigeria from remorseless psychopathic mass killers who have no regard for the sanctity of life.”
