The Deputy Comptroller-General (DCG) in control of Border Management on the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Raymond Jaja, has handed away.
This was revealed in a assertion by the NIS Comptroller-General (C-G) Muhammad Babandede, in Abuja on Thursday.
As said by the assertion, the deceased who hailed from Opobo city in Rivers and died on Saturday after a temporary ailment.
“Born on Dec. 11, 1960, DCG Jaja attended the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he studied Political Science,” the assertion added.
“He joined the Nigeria Immigration Service in 1985 as an Assistant Superintendent (ASI).
“He attended so many inner and worldwide programs together with the Command and Staff College, Sokoto; Institute of Security Studies the place he was a Fellow, Infantry Centre and School in Jaji, amongst others.
“He got promoted to the rank of Deputy Comptroller-General of Immigration in 2017 and was deployed to head the newly restructured Directorate of Border Management, a position he held until his death.”
He is survived by a spouse and 5 youngsters.
