The Federal High Court sitting in Enugu has ordered the police to vacate the Enugu State House of Assembly complex, which was sealed up on May 4. The police took over the House following an early morning sitting by the Speaker, Eugene Odo and 14 others to impeach Governor Sullivan Chime and nine others who later came to suspend the speaker. >But the court in an interim injunction granted the speaker yesterday said the order for the police to leave the Assembly complex would subsist pending the determination of a suit brought by Odo on behalf of the 15 members of the House, who issued an impeachment notice against Governor Chime. The court presided over by Justice D. V. Agishi, also restrained the police from curtailing the personal liberty of the speaker, warning that policemen should not be seen around the Assembly complex except at points determined by the speaker.
