Chairman of Innoson Motors, Dr Innocent Chukwuma has retracted his declaration on social media that the Supreme Court of Nigeria has ordered GTBank to pay him N14bn inside 14 days.
Innoson had earlier on Thursday triggered a social media storm by claiming that Supreme Court had dominated in his favour for GTBank to pay him N14bn.
As acknowledged by report, the retraction was suggested by Innoson’s legal professionals who worry that contempt of court docket prices on defaming the Supreme Court could also be introduced in opposition to the embattled businessman.
However, data of the court docket proceedings confirmed no such ruling.
Instead, what the Supreme Court had directed was for each events, Innoson and GTBank, to return to the Court of Appeal, Enugu Judicial Division, for a listening to on GTBank’s enchantment scheduled for the 14th of June 2018.
