The 16-year-old can now sign professional terms with the Turin club, who are keen to put pen to paper in the face of interest from a host of Premier League clubs

Fresh from their triumph in Sunday's Derby d'Italia over Inter, Juventus are ready for a new challenge: securing the future of teenage wonderkid Moises Kean.

The Juventus Primavera youngster turned 16 on Monday, meaning he is now eligible to sign his first professional deal. The birthday is unlikely to escape the attention of the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea, three Premier League clubs said to be watching closely the promising striker.

A new contract would ward off those suitors, and Juve directors have been working incessantly with Kean's agent Mino Raiola and his family - a double act that can take him to the first team.

The rest is up to his own growth, a tough temperament which still has some rough edges to smooth over and an excellent technical ability honed by the club's youth coaches.

A born leader in the youth ranks, Juve are not willing to rush Kean into the first team. His development is progressing just as planned, helping him to grow physically without affecting his natural balance.

Serie B side Lanciano enquired over the quality of the youngster in the winter break, but the Abruzzo team instead opted to loan another Juve youngster, King Udoh, as part of the package that will see fellow prospect Mattia Vitale move the other way.

Kean, born in Vercelli and of Ivorian roots, has managed to shine in every level of the Juve academy. He is now in the Primavera setup, undoubtedly a big step up in level for the teenager. But there are no doubts over his talent at the club. Scouts from across Europe, in their bid to get the next best thing, have watched several tournaments in an attempt to make contact with the family of the young gem.

Bids from Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea, the latter of which have sounded their appreciation on more than one occasion, have already arrived. The road ahead is a long one, but the possibilities in the future seem endless for Kean.

In Primavera, the last step before moving up to the first team. Kean provided a goal against Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia semi-final, and in total has showed his maturity on three occasions for the team. The teenager possesses impressive technique, power and physique.

Kean looks set to write a glittering chapter in the story of the Bianconeri youth divisions. He recently featured for the Under-17s side, scoring two goals in a 6-0 drubbing of Pro Vercelli to mark a very happy birthday for the teenager.
