The Tottenham duo have emerged as two England stars but they could be convinced to switch sports as they showed their American football skills in a head-to-head challenge
Harry Kane and Dele Alli may indeed have bright futures in football, but the Tottenham duo could be persuaded to pursue a career in the NFL after showing their skills in a head-to-head challenge.
Ahead of Sunday's Super Bowl 50 between Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos, the Spurs stars put their American football skills to the test on the training field.
The challenge started with one player throwing the ball to his team-mate, who then had to toss it towards the goal and hit the bar from the edge of the box. After two attempts each, Alli was the one who took the lead with one point.
The second round included a hike, with the receiver having to throw it into one of two small nets. While Kane drew level in that challengem Alli soon found himself ahead again with his last attempt.
The final task was theoretically more suitable for the football stars, as they were required to kick a field goal. While neither of them had the power, their lack of accuracy saw it go into sudden death.
While Alli showed to be a more accurate thrower than Kane - beating the striker 2-1 in the first two parts of their competition, Kane emerged as the super star striker, scoring the decisive field goal in sudden death.
These two may be seen as England stars, but perhaps the likes of the Panthers, Broncos or Dallas Cowboys will be looking to lure them Stateside to shine in one of the USA's favourite sports.
