Late in 2015, the former NBA star overdosed on multiple drugs at a Crystal, Nevada brothel, winding up comatose and on life support in a Las Vegas hospital.
Though they were separated, he and Khloe were still legally married, and she'd jetted to his side, helping oversee the medical arrangements.

'To my family and to Khloe, I would just want to tell them that I'm sorry for all that wasted time and wasted energy, and my addiction,' he told host Dr. Travis Lane Stork.
'I didn't know who I was...I couldn't take care of myself, I d*mn sure couldn't take care of anybody else,' he also stated.
Lamar also admitted that he regretted having 'wasted time', when he could have been with his two children.

Asked about his 'breakthrough' with his family, Lamar described how drugs made it difficult to connect with loved ones.
'When you're doing drugs, you become distant from everything. Even your feelingsyou become numb, to everything,' he stated. 'And just to kind of re-instill what we had as a family, it was important to me.'

'I didn't know [why I was in the hospital] until Khloé had told me that I was in a coma,' a tearful Odom said, adding: 'I couldn't even speak at the time. I couldn't talk, so I was scared.'
Prior to waking up in the hospital, Odom told Travis that his last memory was 'being in that damn [Love Ranch] brothel, thinking I was going to just rest a little bit.'

Asked about winning back Khloe, Lamar said his ex meant a lot to him.
'Khloe is important to me,' he stated. 'She's been through all this with me, and she stood right by my side, so I would just want to repay her.'
Khloe married the Queens native in 2009 and filed for divorce in 2013, but only managed to put the finishing legal touches on their split last December.
'I came to a point in my marriage where I had to make the choice to take care of my own mental and emotional well-being in order to protect myself and my happiness,' Khloe wrote in a Lenny newsletter last year.
'I'm at peace with that decision and do feel like I honored my vows to the very end,' she stated. 'I feel that I kept the serious vows I made in front of God with every inch of my heart, which is why I am still honoring them today even though my relationship with my ex-husband is in a different place.'
Lamar's interview on The Doctors is set to air on Tuesday.
