Serge Aurier was called in for a meeting with Paris Saint-Germain chiefs on Sunday after footage appeared online of the defender apparently insulting several members of staff during a live Periscope session on Saturday.
The right-back was shown to appear with a friend during a chat fielding questions from other users on his team-mates. His answers were not complimentary towards the likes of key figures, such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and head coach Laurent Blanc.
As a result, the club are investigating the matter and are trying to confirm whether the footage is genuine.
The Ivory Coast defender had been scheduled to train at Camp des Loges with the rest of the squad ahead of the Champions League last-16 meeting with Chelsea, but did not appear.
Instead, the club are considering suspending the defender, who has played 26 times this season, scoring four goals in the process, with reports claiming this decision has already been made.
Netherlands international Gregory van der Wiel started in the scoreless draw against Lille on Saturday, and would be the man to take his place should the PSG leaders take action.
