Policemen have been charged to rescue a Methodist priest and two different individuals kidnapped on the Iwo–Ibadan Road on Sunday by suspected bandits, police in Osun have mentioned.
Deputy Commissioner of police within the state, Mufutau Ayinde, mentioned officers had been working to rescue the victims.
But he mentioned the abductors had but to contact anyone or made any calls for.
Some gunmen had been reported to have kidnapped Rev. Kayode Akande, and two different leaders of the church on Sunday whereas returning to Osogbo from Ile-Ogbo.
Bishop of Methodist Church, Osogbo Diocese, Most Rev. Amos Ogunrinde, mentioned the priest and the 2 church members had been coming back from a Men’s Fellowship held at Ile-Ogbo.
Ogunrinde mentioned the priest and different members had been in a convoy of two non-public vehicles after they encountered the bandits on the highway.
As acknowledged by reviews, the gunmen requested the victims for cash however they may not meet their demand as they had been coming from a fellowship.
