image Kwara State Governor Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed yesterday approved the immediate dissolution of the State Executive Council. In a statement signed by the Secretary to State Government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold, Governor Ahmed said others affected by the dissolution are Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Liaison Officers, and Youth Employment Coordinators. Similarly, all boards of government-owned companies, commissions, parastatals, and organizations other than those of statutory status, were also dissolved. Meanwhile, the commissioners in the state have been advised to handover government property in their custody to their permanent secretaries, while heads of other MDAs are directed to handover to the most senior officers in their establishment. Gold stated that, “His Excellency, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed expresses sincere appreciation to all the affected political office holders for their immeasurable contributions to the success of his administration in the last four years.
