The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Lagos State House of Assembly member, representing Oshodi-Isolo constituency II, Hon. Jude Emeka Idimogu, at the weekend received accolades from the people of his constituency and some chieftains of his party during the graduation ceremony of 341 youths he sponsored for computer studies.
Idimogu promised to start another phase of the training at Ejigbo area of his constituency, saying that, the training undergone by the graduating students was only first among various empowerment projects he planned to implement in fulfilment of his campaign promises to his constituent.
In his welcome address at the graduation and certificate presentation to the beneficiaries at, Ilasamaja, Isolo, Lagos, Idimogu said his vision was to be a parliamentarian of distinction representing his people for an effective legislation and grassroots development, adding that, his mission was to serve his constituent with almost dedication for an improved welfare and infrastructure.
“My goal is to see to the betterment of the people of Oshodi-Isolo constituency II. It is noteworthy, that this free computer training is my personal initiative to give back to the people of my constituency and to support the less privileged that may not be able to fund such training like this.”
He enjoined the graduating students to build on what they learnt from the institute.
He said: “To the beneficiaries, I have no doubt that a lot have been learnt during this period, I advise you to build on this knowledge and subsequently channel it to positive and productive use in your career or life endeavours. Practically, our generation or age cannot do away with Information Technology, IT, computer as all endeavours solely depend on them. Education is very vital, as they say “knowledge is power”, I enjoined you all to give all you can.”
