File: President Muhammadu Buhari Observes Juma’at with Senate President Bukola Saraki and Minister of Interior Abdurahman Dambazau
Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed has prayed for God’s guidance for the present administration “through the interesting times Nigeria is currently passing through.”
Mohammed said this on Wednesday in his opening prayer at the Federal Executive Council holding at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The defections have continued hit the All Progressives Congress on Tuesday as Senate President Bukola Saraki, Kwara State Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and Nigeria’s Ambassador to South Africa Ahmed Ibeto, returned to the Peoples Democratic Party.
Also, National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Bolaji Abdullahi, on Wednesday tendered his resignation to the party’s leadership.
Abdullahi also announced his defection to the major opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This is as governor of Sokoto state Aminu Tambuwal announced his defection from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the major opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Fifteen Senators and 37 members of the House of Representatives had two weeks ago defected to the PDP as well.
