One Ms. Ibinabo Lolo Briggs, a Lawyer and businesswoman, is suing TCK Family Park (RutaLand) for wanton negligence, after surviving a near fatal accident on New Year’s Day while she was aboard a flying chair ride at the park in PH, Rivers State.
It was gathered that the ride collapsed without warning due to faulty servicing/maintenance, leaving Briggs injured, traumatized, and devastated by the loss of her valued property which was destroyed in the accident.
Following her rescue, she officially reported the incident to RutaLand’s management but she and other victims were allegedly not properly taken care of and their damaged properties were not replaced.
After several failed attempts to get compensated, Briggs has now vowed to institute a N50m lawsuit against the establishment, for damages arising from the Park’s alleged wanton negligence and refusal to meet her reasonable demands for compensation.
