AC Milan have announced Pescara striker Gianluca Lapadula is having a medical ahead of a summer transfer to San Siro.
Lapagol, who finished as Serie B's top scorer last season, had been linked with various Italian clubs but had expressed a desire to move to the Premier League to link up with Claudio Ranieri - and to play alongside Jamie Vardy.
The English champions will miss out on the 26-year-old, however, with the attacker's Rossoneri move set to be made official following his examinations at La Madonnina medical centre.
"It was a flash move that both of us wanted," the player said. "I'm very happy and very grateful to [Adriano] Galliani and the president [Silvio Berlusconi], whom I wish a speedy recovery.
"I must thank Pescara for the kind words and the fath they've shown me this year."
Lapadula is expected to cost Milan around €9 million.
