John Aldridge has claimed that Liverpool's attacking options are better than Chelsea's and Manchester City's, and that their firepower can help them challenge for the Premier League title.
Jurgen Klopp's side are currently in second place behind Chelsea, and have four players who have scored five or more goals in the current league campaign.

Former Reds striker Aldridge believes that this strength in depth will help Liverpool, who do not have to rely on just one or two sources to score and create goals.
βLiverpool have options whereas their title rivals donβt," said Aldridge, speaking exclusively to 888sport.
"You look at their goal-scorers and itβs across five players and thatβs without Daniel Sturridge getting a run of games and scoring regularly, which heβs well capable of doing.
"Mane is scoring goals, Firmino and Lallana, then thereβs Coutinho to come back strong. If we can keep Sturridge fit and on the pitch there are plenty of options.β
Despite the options in attack, Aldridge feels that it will be a difficult title challenge, especially as Liverpool's rivals have added extra talent to their squads.

However, he points to Monday's 1-0 win over Everton as a strong sign of Liverpool's character, and highlights it as an indicator of their mental abilities.
βItβs going to be tough because Chelsea have raised the bar and City have slipped up quite a bit but theyβll come back strong," the former Ireland international continued.
"But certainly the way Liverpool went about it to get the three points at Goodison showed great character.β

βOther teams rely on their best players. Chelsea have a very good team but if they were without Hazard or Costa youβd like to see how theyβd fare without them.
"The same goes for City with De Bruyne and Aguero. Liverpool have actually managed without Coutinho andΒ Sturridge.β
