Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi travelled to England on Monday to address his future, Goal has learned.
The 29-year-old took a brief break away from the France camp at Euro 2016 for the trip, with an exit from the capital club looking likely.
The identity of the club or clubs with whom he is in discussions is not yet confirmed but Manchester United have been strongly linked.
Matuidi shares an agent, Mino Raiola, with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has just completed his own move to Jose Mourinho's side.
The midfielder is expected to return to Didier Deschamps's national team in time for training at 16:00BST, with a semi-final against Germany on the horizon for the tournament hosts.
