Crystal Palace have upped their bid for Christian Benteke with a deal that could be worth £31.5 million, according to The Guardian.
Alan Pardew saw his opening offer of £25m rejected by the Anfield outfit, with Jurgen Klopp refusing to settle for less than £30m.
Palace have now returned with a bid of £27m which could rise dependant on number of appearances, achievements and the club qualifying for Europe.
Benteke is understood to be open to a move to Selhurst Park as he looks to revive his career after falling out of favour at Liverpool following Klopp's arrival last autumn.
