Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amechi, who was moving from one polling unit to another in the state was stopped by the military. Different correspondents in Port Harcourt reported that the governor was stopped by the Brigade Commander of the second Brigade, Bori Camp, Essien Essien, who engaged the governor in a debate over his mission to ascertain the availability of result sheets at the polling units.
