Henrikh Mkhitaryan has spoken of his delight at signing for Manchester United, insisting the move to Old Trafford is a dream come true for him.
The former Dortmund star was announced as a new United player on Wednesday afternoon, with the 27-year-old, who scored 41 goals in 140 appearances for the Bundesliga side, signing a four-year contract.
And Mkhitaryan says it is a "dream come true" to sign for Jose Mourinho's side and that he is honouring his father's memory by joining the Premier League giants.
He told the club's official website: "I am very proud to join Manchester United, this move is a dream come true for me. I am excited to play for a club with such an illustrious history and hope to be part of it for a long time.
"I thank the trust the club and Mourinho have put in me. Finally, I believe playing for such a great club honours my father’s memory, and the inspiration and drive he gave to me when I was young."
